A small tree to 9m with wavy silvery green, glossy leaves. Naturally occurring through out the North Island & on the east coast of the South Island from sea level to 900m. Kohuhu is very hardy & popular as hedges & shelter belts, widely cultivated.
Recommended pre germination seed treatment: Seed germinates without pre treatment. 4 weeks cold stratification will help speed up and even out germination time. (For details refer to Propagation Information tab at top of page / Seed Dormancy).
