Miro
Miro grows to form a round headed forest tree 25-30m. Very similar to Matai, Naturally occurs in lowland forests throughout NZ. Miro seed is very slow to germinate even after long periods of cold stratification germination may take 2-3 years.
Recommended pre germination seed treatment: Seed requires 4 to 6 weeks cold stratification. (For details refer to Propagation Information tab at top of page / Seed Dormancy).
