Xeronema callistemon The Poor Knights Lily, or Raupo Taranga is one of New Zealands finest flowering plants and ranks as one of our best horticultural subjects. It is endemic to the Poor Knights Islands and Taranga Island off the north east coast of New Zealand. Mature plants have green flax-like leaves up to 1m long and flower between September and December.
